Shoegazer Finds: Pantomime jewellery!

It's that time of year again - oh no it isn't... oh yes it is (yeah, I went there). Pantomimes are popping up everywhere so I thought I'd do a little pantomime post featuring some jewellery to get you in the mood for the Christmas season.

Aladdin:
These pieces are by cult French jewellery brand N2 who specialise in fantasy jewellery with a retro / kitsch twist. Hang a genie from your ears or round your neck and look camp as Christmas! Find them here.

This necklace by Etsy's RJCharms is a slightly more understated take on the Aladdin theme and features the Genie's lamp in gold-tone pewter and accompanied by a multi-faceted blue/gold tone glass bead. Find it here.

Cinderella:
This little brooch from Etsy's GhostLoveJewelry features a Swaovski Crystal accented heart charm, a hanging silver chain and a Victorian-style carriage. Hopefully it won't turn into a pumpkin at midnight because that might ruin your outfit. Find it here.

Snow White:
"Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" From Disney Couture comes this necklace featuring the Wicked Witch's moto and a shiny red apple. Find it here.

If you like the moto but want to avoid the mainstream (ie. anything that's been on Lindsey Lohan), then make sure you check out this necklace by Etsy's Lunarra Star. Her Etsy shop is full of pretty, fairtale-inspired trinkets. Find this necklace here

Peter Pan:
Another Etsy find, these very sweet face necklaces of Peter Pan and a female Captain Hook are by JooSweetie and made of a combination of wood, acrylic and felt. Find them and lots of other lovely things here.

I'm glad that post is "behind me" (stick a fork in me and call me Christopher Biggins, I'm done)

Shoegazer Visits: Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen

Here is the second of my Copenhagen posts, this one focuses on Tivoli Gardens, one of the world's oldest amusement parks which opens in the winter every year as a beautiful Christmas wonderland.

I absolutely fell in love with the weeping willows as they had a little light almost on every leaf. They were so beautiful reflecting off the black of the lake at night.

Shoegazer Visits: Copenhagen

Last week I went to Copenhagen and was lucky enough to explore backstage at the Royal Danish Theatre and get some photos of the Danish Royal Ballet in rehearsal. I also spent a day walking around the city visiting various landmarks such as the beautifully gothic Rosenborg Castle, the harbour, the four palaces and Tivoli Gardens which were absolutely stunning as they were all done up for the Christmas season - there were little Christmas huts selling traditional Danish decorations and gifts, there was a spectacular light and music show on the lake and literally everything was dripping with fairy lights. Hope you enjoy the pictures! Part Two will include the images of Tivoli Gardens.

Rosenborg Castle:

This statue looked as though it could come alive at any moment! I was scared to blink!
