Visual treats

Just a quick post today with some visual treats from FFFFound:
 Above: A cloudy friend
Above: Seriously cool nail varnish packaging design
 Above: Party hard...
Above: Awwwww. This kitten reminds me of the carol singing rabbit in the Muppets Christmas Carol.

Shoegazer visits: Pollock's Toy Museum

Last weekend I went to Pollock's Toy Museum in London. I'd been wanting to visit since I found out about it last year (see this post on the Imaginarium Doctor Parnassus), so was happy to finally get there and experience it for myself. Some of the pictures aren't the best quality, but the light was very awkward in there - the items were in glass cases in dark rooms with the sun streaming through the windows - but I've done my best to share the experience with you and hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Oh yes and be warned, some of the toys and dolls featured here may well give you nightmares! Haha...
I hope you found those photos interesting :) I adore the antique peg dolls and have been looking for one for YEARS. Oh well, one day... Also fell in love with the Pearly King and Queen dolls. I have a soft spot for anything to do with Pearly Kings and Queen -  I just love the old English eccentric charm of them.

Shoegazer Visits: An Aquarium

Some shots I took on a recent trip to an aquarium...
The rest might not be great photos but I like them for various reasons:
Above: I call this the Ooh Fish... because it just popped into shot with an expresion like "Ooh, what are you doing?"
Above: This Long Spined Sea Urchin thing reminded me of Soot Bunnies from My Neighbour Totoro! WIN! I love how you can see it's little eyes.
Above: Nemo and his Dad! Aw. Cute.

Shoegazer Visits: Lewes

This weekend I headed to Lewes for a good old rummage in the many lovely antique shops the little town boasts. As I've blogged about in the past, the shops are jam packed full of unusual antiques, vintage items and trinkets. I'll follow this post up with a haul post of some of the bits I bought, but for now here are some snaps I took as I was going round...
